Every second Friday of the month, James Street North transforms into Hamilton’s famous Art Crawl—a free street party drawing thousands for art, music, retail, and food.
- When: Starts around 5pm until late (May–October features pedestrian-only streets from York Blvd to Murray St).
- What to expect: Galleries like Hamilton Artists Inc., You, Me, Gallery, and Centre3 open late with fresh exhibits; pop-up vendors line the sidewalks; and the vibe stays approachable and unpretentious.
- Pro tips: Walk, bike, or take HSR/GO Transit; arrive early for parking near West Harbour GO.
Art Crawl started in 2005 with a handful of galleries and has set the gold standard—now joined by Supercrawl in September for even bigger crowds.
